Laserboids update V1.3


A new update for Laserboids has just been released!

Features:

- New gamemode: One In The Chamber. You only have one shot, and reload on a successful hit. If you miss, the boids know!

Bugfixes/Changes:

- Fully converted from Godot 3.5 to Godot 4.2

- Added shadows to the boids

- Added autofire - you can still click rapidly to shoot as fast as possible, but just holding down the button will automatically shoot at a reasonable fire rate.

- Increased bullet speed and hitbox size slightly

- Made sparrows ignore shields

- Fixed a bug where the boid carrying a dead player could die

- Fixed a bug where sometimes the player would not be reset to the center of the screen on a new game

- Fixed a bug where the shield cooldown would not reset on a new game


Performing this update was a pleasant, if fleeting, return to game development. Now that a system for game modes has been implemented, I may add others in the future. I hope you all enjoy!
